Live Entertainment in Kahului

Central Maui's event infrastructure serves the most economically diverse community on Maui — a working-class Kahului where Hawaiian cultural events, high school sports, and community gatherings create a sports and entertainment scene rooted in genuine Hawaiian community life rather than tourist amenity. Kahului's extraordinary diversity (Native Hawaiian, Filipino, Japanese, and Portuguese communities) creates cultural events of authentic Pacific multicultural character.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) is Maui's premier performing arts complex — a 1,200-seat Castle Theatre and 4,000-capacity A&B Amphitheatre that bring world-class entertainment to the Valley Isle. As the cultural heart of Maui County, the MACC presents everything from the Maui Film Festival to international touring artists and represents the highest standard of concert programming available in Hawaii outside Honolulu.

Maui Arts and Cultural Center is Hawaii's second-most important performing arts complex — a Kahului facility presenting the finest concerts, theater, and cultural events for Maui County. Its Castle Theatre (1,200-capacity) and outdoor A&B Amphitheatre serve Maui's diverse community of residents and visitors in one of Hawaii's most culturally active counties.

Maui's outdoor concert scene reflects the island's extraordinary natural environment — open-air venues where Hawaiian, reggae, and world music performances happen against backdrops of cane fields, volcanic slopes, and ocean horizons. Maui's extraordinary geography (the dormant Haleakala volcano creates the world's largest dormant volcanic crater) and its passionate local music scene create outdoor concert experiences of genuine Hawaiian cultural resonance.
