Live Entertainment in Ottawa

Canadian Tire Centre is home to the Ottawa Senators — presenting NHL hockey in Canada's capital city and major concerts for the National Capital Region. Ottawa's remarkable position as Canada's capital (the only capital among the G7 nations not to have a sports team in at least three of the four major North American professional leagues) and the Senators' passionate Ottawa fan base create sporting events of genuine Canadian capital city significance.

Ottawa Senators hockey creates the most politically engaged NHL fan base in the world — a team representing Canada's national capital where every game is attended by diplomats, politicians, and public servants from every level of Canadian government. The Senators' remarkable 1992 expansion history and Ottawa's extraordinary combination of French-English Canadian bilingual hockey culture create sporting events of genuine Canadian political community significance.
