Lounges in Medellín

Medellín's rooftop lounge scene sits amid one of the world's most extraordinary urban settings — a city built inside a narrow Andean valley where the natural topography creates breathtaking hillside views over a transformed metropolis that has won the world's most prestigious urban innovation prizes. Medellín's remarkable combination of Andean mountain beauty, tropical flowers (orchids, the national flower of Colombia, grow wild throughout the region), and its extraordinary urban renaissance create rooftop lounges of considerable Colombian contemporary significance.

La Pepita in El Poblado is one of Medellín's most beloved cocktail lounges and restaurants — a beautifully designed venue in the heart of El Poblado that has become a gathering place for Medellín's creative class, international expats, and visitors drawn to Colombia's most internationally praised contemporary city. La Pepita's outstanding cocktail program incorporating Colombian botanicals and its remarkable role in El Poblado's thriving social scene create a lounge of genuine Medellín contemporary culture significance.

El Cielo (The Sky) in Medellín is one of the most extraordinary molecular gastronomy restaurants and cocktail lounges in Latin America — a 14-course sensory experience tasting menu by chef Juan Manuel Barrientos that has placed Medellín on the global fine dining map and been recognized in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants. El Cielo's extraordinary gastronomic ambition and its remarkable role in transforming perceptions of Colombian cuisine create a restaurant lounge of considerable Colombian fine dining significance.
