Shows in Houston

Jones Hall for the Performing Arts is Houston's primary symphony and opera concert hall — a 2,966-seat venue home to the Houston Symphony and presenting Houston Grand Opera (one of America's premier opera companies) and major classical performances. HGO's extraordinary international reputation, built on world premiere productions of works by Dominick Argento, John Adams, and Philip Glass, has made Houston one of the most significant opera cities in the world.

Wortham Theater Center is the anchor of Houston's Theater District — a twin-theater complex housing the Brown Theater (2,200 seats) and Cullen Theater (1,100 seats), home to Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera. Houston's Theater District, with 12 performing arts organizations within walking distance, represents the most concentrated performing arts campus in America outside of New York City.
