Lincoln Theatre on the U Street Corridor is one of DC's great historic performance venues, a 1,000-seat former vaudeville and movie theater that has been restored as a concert hall. Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong performed at the original Lincoln Theatre, and the restored venue continues to honor that Black Broadway legacy with jazz, R&B, and soul programming.
