Åby Travbana in Gothenburg (Mölndal) is western Sweden's principal harness racing venue and a major contributor to the ATG V75 pool. The track hosts Hugo Åbergs Memorial — one of Scandinavia's most prestigious trotting races — and serves as the regional championship venue for Västra Götaland. Gothenburg's industrial and maritime heritage gives Åby a working-class racing culture distinct from Stockholm's Solvalla, and the track's regular Friday night and Sunday meetings draw consistent crowds from the Gothenburg metropolitan area.
