About Magna Racino

Magna Racino in Ebreichsdorf, located approximately 30km south of Vienna in Lower Austria, is the most modern horse racing facility in Austria — a racino venue combining an all-weather synthetic racing track with casino gaming facilities and a hotel complex designed to attract both racing enthusiasts and general entertainment visitors. Built in 2004 by the Magna International group, the facility represents the contemporary racino model applied to the Central European market — using gaming revenue to subsidise racing prize money and attract higher-quality horses to Austrian racing. The all-weather synthetic track (1,600m oval) allows year-round racing independent of weather conditions, a significant competitive advantage over Freudenau's turf course which is limited to spring and summer operations. Magna Racino hosts an international programme that includes listed and Group races attracting horses from Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, and France, and has become an important stop on the Central European autumn racing circuit when French and German tracks have concluded their summer-autumn turf programmes.
