About Bellagio
Overview
Bellagio is operated by MGM Resorts International and is universally recognized as one of the finest casino resorts in the world — a property that fundamentally redefined what a casino resort could be when Steve Wynn opened it in October 1998 at a then-staggering cost of $1.6 billion. The Bellagio fountains alone are among the most photographed landmarks in the United States, performing their choreographed water ballet on Lake Bellagio in front of the 8-acre artificial lake every 30 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes in the evenings.
MGM Resorts International acquired Bellagio as part of its $6.4 billion acquisition of Mirage Resorts in 2000. The property is consistently ranked the highest-revenue individual casino property in the United States and competes globally with Singapore's Marina Bay Sands and Macau's Palace resorts for the title of world's finest casino hotel.
Bellagio's art program is exceptional — the property maintains the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art with rotating exhibits from major international collections, the lobby's glass sculpture garden ("Fiori di Como") by Dale Chihuly is one of the most seen art installations in the world, and the conservatory and botanical garden changes its floral displays seasonally at a cost of millions per installation.
Gaming
The gaming floor spans 156,000 square feet and features 2,300+ slot machines and 125+ live table games. The Bellagio Poker Room is one of the most famous poker rooms in the world — it hosted the World Poker Tour for many years and is seen daily by millions of global viewers through televised tournament coverage. The high-limit room (the "Big Game" room) is where the world's largest private poker games occur. Bellagio's table game minimums are among the highest on the Strip — casual visitors should be prepared for $25+ blackjack minimums.
Hotel
The 3,933-room hotel consists of the original 36-story Bellagio tower and the 928-room Spa Tower added in 2004. Rooms are consistently rated among the finest on the Strip and command premium prices. The hotel's interior design, from the lobby through the corridors to the guest rooms, maintains a level of detail and quality that distinguishes it even among Strip luxury properties.
Entertainment & Dining
Cirque du Soleil "O" (aquatic Cirque) performs in the 1,800-seat Bellagio Theatre and is one of the highest-grossing entertainment productions in Las Vegas history — it has been running since 1998. Celebrity chef restaurants include Le Cirque, Picasso (two Michelin stars), Lago, Prime Steakhouse, and more than a dozen fine dining outlets. The buffet, Wicked Spoon, sets a Strip buffet standard. Nightlife includes Bank nightclub and Hyde at Bellagio.
