Caesars Palace

Overview

Caesars Palace is the most historically significant casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip and perhaps the most recognized casino brand anywhere in the world. Opened in August 1966 by Jay Sarno at a cost of $24 million — enormous for its era — Caesars Palace established the template for the themed mega-resort that the rest of the industry has followed for six decades. The Roman empire aesthetic, the palace architecture, the use of celebrity entertainment as a casino marketing tool (Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Liberace, and every major entertainer of the 1960s-80s performed at Caesars), and the brand's aspirational positioning were all innovations that shaped modern casino resort development globally.

Today operated by Caesars Entertainment as the flagship of the world's largest casino company (approximately 50+ casino properties globally), Caesars Palace has grown to include six hotel towers, 85 acres of resort grounds, and what is effectively a small city of restaurants, shops, entertainment venues, pools, and services. The property has been continuously renovated and expanded, with the most recent major addition being the LINQ and High Roller observation wheel complex nearby.

Gaming

The 124,000 sq ft casino floor is one of the largest on the Strip and features an extraordinary range of table minimums from mid-range to the highest stakes in Las Vegas. The poker room hosts World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit events and is one of the most respected in the world. The race and sports book is one of Las Vegas' finest.

Hotel

Six hotel towers (Forum, Palace, Augustus, Octavius, Nobu and the Laurel collection) provide 3,960 rooms across a range of price points. The Augustus Tower — the most recently renovated — provides the premium accommodation standard. The Nobu Hotel at Caesars offers a boutique hotel within a hotel experience.

Entertainment & Dining

The Colosseum — a 4,298-seat purpose-built concert hall — hosts Las Vegas's most prestigious residencies including Adele, Bruno Mars, and Celine Dion. The Forum Shops at Caesars is one of the highest-revenue shopping malls in the United States. Celebrity chef dining includes Gordon Ramsay's multiple outlets, Nobu, Bacchanal Buffet (consistently rated the best buffet in Las Vegas), and more than 20 dining options.
