Casino Maestral

Casino Maestral is Montenegro's most famous casino venue, operating at the Maestral Resort Hotel in Bečići — a small resort settlement on Budvanska Riviera's sweeping 2-kilometre beach that is considered the finest sandy beach on the Adriatic coast north of Albania. The Maestral Resort has been a fixture of Yugoslav and post-Yugoslav Adriatic tourism since the 1970s, and its casino — one of the few in the former Yugoslav space for much of its operating history — attracted a generation of regional high-rollers who treated it as the Adriatic's premier gaming destination.

The casino floor offers roulette, blackjack, punto banco, poker, and slot machines in an environment that blends the Maestral's Adriatic resort character with a properly equipped gaming operation. The Budva area — Montenegro's most visited tourist destination, a walled medieval old town flanked by modern hotel developments and a marina — draws visitors from Serbia (the primary market), Russia, Ukraine, Germany, and increasingly the UK and other Western European countries who have discovered Montenegro's combination of Adriatic coastline, medieval towns, and mountain scenery at prices substantially below comparable Croatian or Italian Adriatic destinations.

Montenegro's coastal geography — the entire Adriatic coastline is just 293 km long, but concentrated with walled towns (Kotor, Perast, Budva), national parks, and the spectacular fjord-like Bay of Kotor — creates a multi-destination itinerary in a small space, and the Casino Maestral benefits from the high-spending leisure travellers who base themselves in Budva for beach holidays while exploring the broader Montenegrin coast. Kotor's medieval walled city (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is 35 km along the bay road.
