Clearwater Casino Resort is operated by the Suquamish Tribe on the Kitsap Peninsula in Suquamish — across Puget Sound from Seattle, accessible via the Bainbridge Island or Kingston ferry routes. The Suquamish Tribe are the people of Chief Seattle (Si'ahl), the leader after whom the city of Seattle is named. Chief Seattle's grave is located at Old Man House State Park in Suquamish, adjacent to the casino.
