Overview

Coushatta Casino Resort is operated by the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana and is the largest and most comprehensive tribal casino resort in Louisiana. Located in Kinder, Allen Parish — approximately 70 miles from Lake Charles and 120 miles west of Baton Rouge — Coushatta draws from both the Gulf Coast corridor and interior Louisiana markets, as well as significant cross-border traffic from Southeast Texas.

The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana (also known as the Koasati) have lived in Louisiana for thousands of years and received federal recognition in 1973. Their gaming enterprise, which began in the early 1990s, has grown to become one of the largest employers in Allen Parish and a major economic force in southwest Louisiana.

The gaming floor is Louisiana's largest tribal gaming facility, featuring over 2,700 slot machines and 70+ live table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, and specialty games.
