Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino

Overview

Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort is the largest and oldest casino in Laughlin, Nevada — a city that was essentially created by Don Laughlin himself when he purchased a bait shop on the Colorado River in 1966 and converted it into a small motel and casino. Over the following decades, Laughlin turned the area into a modest-sized gaming destination serving the southern Nevada and Arizona markets. The city was officially named after him by the US Postal Service.

The Riverside Resort is still independently owned and operated by the Laughlin family and is among the few remaining major independently owned casino resorts in Nevada. Its antique car and boat museum is one of the largest private classic vehicle collections in the southwest United States.
