About Four Winds South Bend
Overview
Four Winds South Bend is operated by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians — a federally recognized tribe with ancestral ties to the Great Lakes region — and is the newest and largest tribal casino in Indiana. Opened in 2021, the $400 million resort represents the most significant new gaming investment in Indiana in decades, bringing a full resort experience to the South Bend/Mishawaka metropolitan area.
The Pokagon Band's tribal enterprise was built around their Four Winds brand in New Buffalo, Michigan (just across the state line). The South Bend facility significantly expanded their gaming footprint into the Indiana market, serving both the local South Bend metropolitan area and positioning between Chicago (90 miles west) and Fort Wayne (100 miles east).
Gaming
The gaming floor is one of Indiana's largest, featuring over 3,000 slot machines and 80+ live table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, and specialty games. A dedicated poker room runs cash games and tournaments. A high-limit room serves premium players.
Hotel & Spa
The luxury hotel tower offers premium accommodations with resort-level amenities. The full-service spa provides comprehensive treatments, and resort pools and fitness facilities complete the destination resort experience.
Getting There
Located at 1 Hammes Ave, South Bend, IN 46601, in the heart of downtown South Bend. Approximately 90 miles east of Chicago and adjacent to the University of Notre Dame area. Free self-parking and valet available.
