About Fremont Hotel and Casino

Overview

Fremont Hotel and Casino opened in May 1956 as the tallest building in Nevada at the time — a 15-story tower that towered over Downtown Las Vegas and announced the property's ambition. Boyd Gaming has operated the Fremont since 1985 and has maintained its position as a core Downtown property. The Fremont was the first high-rise hotel in Las Vegas and the first hotel in the state to have a computer for reservations. The iconic sign on the corner of Fremont and Casino Center has been one of Downtown Las Vegas's most recognized landmarks for nearly 70 years.
