Grand Casino du Lac is Tunis's most prestigious gaming venue, located in Les Berges du Lac — the modern development built on reclaimed land beside the Lac de Tunis, the lagoon that separates the city from the Gulf of Tunis. The Lac district has become Tunis's premier business and diplomatic quarter since its development in the 1990s and 2000s: embassies, international company headquarters, five-star hotels, and upscale restaurants line the broad boulevards in an atmosphere quite different from the medina and French colonial downtown of old Tunis.

The casino draws from the Lac district's concentration of international business visitors, diplomats, and Tunisia's upper-middle class. Games include roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker, and slot machines. As with all Tunisian casinos, gaming is technically restricted to non-Muslim patrons, and the venue operates primarily as an amenity for international hotel guests and the expatriate community.
