Grand Ho Tram Strip

Grand Ho Tram Strip is Vietnam's most ambitious casino resort development: a planned multi-phase complex on a near-empty 164-hectare beachfront site in the Hồ Tràm area of Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu Province, 125 km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City on a stretch of South China Sea coastline that was almost entirely undeveloped when construction began. The first phase, a full-scale integrated resort with a 541-room hotel and casino, opened in 2013 and represented the largest single gaming investment in Vietnam to that point.

The casino — operating under a licence from the Vietnamese government under the integrated resort framework — offers baccarat, roulette, blackjack, poker, and extensive slot machines on a gaming floor designed to international standards. The Ho Tram Strip targets the same premium mass and VIP markets that drive Macau and Singapore's casino economies, and as a Vietnamese property has the advantage of a shorter flight time for the Vietnamese domestic market than either Macau or the Philippines.

The beach setting is genuinely exceptional: 4 km of fine white sand fronting warm South China Sea waters with minimal development in either direction. The resort's golf course — designed by Greg Norman — championship pool complex, multiple restaurants, and spa have positioned it as a serious beach resort destination independent of the casino. Ho Chi Minh City's 10-million-strong population, accessible by a 1.5-hour expressway drive, provides the resort's primary domestic market.
