About GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World
GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World is the largest entertainment complex in the Western Cape and the signature property of Tsogo Sun's Cape Town operations. Opened in 2000 and expanded significantly in subsequent years, it occupies a 24-hectare site in Goodwood, a suburb about 7 km from the Cape Town city centre.
The casino floor houses approximately 2,500 slot machines and 80 table games including blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and poker. The entertainment complex uses a 1950s American roadside theme — diners, neon signs, classic car displays — to create a leisure destination that draws Cape Town families alongside gaming visitors. The Sun Square hotel, multiple restaurants, a food court, and the Cape Town Ice Station (a public ice rink) extend the non-gaming offering considerably. The adjacent GrandArena (10,000 seats) hosts major concerts and entertainment events.
