Mazagan Beach Resort Casino

Mazagan Beach Resort is Morocco's most ambitious integrated leisure development: a 250-hectare complex on the Atlantic Ocean coast north of El Jadida, about 90 minutes south of Casablanca, that combines a 500-room hotel, three golf courses, multiple beach clubs, restaurants, a spa, and the country's largest casino under a single resort ownership. The resort was developed by Kerzner International — the South African group behind the Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas — and opened in 2009 to position Morocco on the map of large-scale resort gaming destinations.

The casino floor is the most extensive in Morocco: several thousand square metres of gaming space with slot machines, roulette, blackjack, punto banco, and poker tables. The scale is comparable to mid-tier European casino resorts rather than the intimate salon format of most other Moroccan venues, and Mazagan consciously positions itself as a destination resort rather than a passing stop — guests are encouraged to stay multiple nights to experience the full range of beach, golf, dining, and gaming facilities.

Mazagan's Atlantic setting — 90 km from Casablanca's airport and with direct transfer services from Casablanca — makes it accessible to the Gulf State and European charter and business traveller market that Morocco's tourism authority has cultivated aggressively. The Portuguese-era UNESCO-listed old city of El Jadida (Mazagan was the city's colonial name under Portuguese rule, 1506–1769) is 5 km away and adds a cultural dimension to resort stays.
