About Newport World Resorts
Overview
Newport World Resorts (formerly Resorts World Manila) is the Philippines' longest-operating integrated resort, having opened in August 2009 — four years before Solaire. The property is operated by Travellers International Hotel Group, a joint venture between Genting Hong Kong and Alliance Global Corporation. Its location adjacent to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) made it the natural landing spot for international visitors arriving in Manila, and the resort's airport proximity remains a significant competitive advantage.
The resort was rebranded from Resorts World Manila to Newport World Resorts in 2021 as part of a repositioning that emphasised the broader Newport City entertainment district. Multiple hotel towers, a shopping mall (Newport Mall), and a live entertainment venue (Newport Performing Arts Theater) make the complex one of Metro Manila's most complete entertainment destinations.
