About Railroad Pass Casino
Overview
Railroad Pass Casino holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously licensed casino in Nevada, operating at Boulder Highway near the Henderson–Boulder City border since 1931. The property opened to serve workers building Hoover Dam — the government project that employed thousands of workers in the harsh Nevada desert from 1931 to 1936. Licensed by the state before modern casino regulations existed, Railroad Pass has operated under continuous gaming licenses through every regulatory era Nevada has seen. The property remains a modest roadside operation, far smaller than the resort-scale casinos that define modern Nevada gaming, but its historical significance as Nevada's oldest is unmatched.
