About Sahara Las Vegas

Overview

Sahara Las Vegas is the rebranded and extensively renovated successor to the historic Sahara Hotel and Casino — one of the original Strip properties that opened in 1952. Closed in 2011, the property was acquired by developer Alex Meruelo, renovated at a cost of several hundred million dollars, and reopened as Sahara Las Vegas in May 2021. The contemporary redesign strips away the dated décor and replaces it with a clean, modern aesthetic that positions Sahara as an affordable boutique alternative to the mega-resorts at the Strip's south end.

Gaming & Hotel

60,000 sq ft gaming floor with 600+ slot machines and 50+ table games. 1,616 rooms in a newly renovated hotel. The property's value pricing relative to its northerly Strip neighbors makes it popular with value-oriented Strip visitors.
