About Spirit Lake Casino & Resort

Overview

Spirit Lake Casino & Resort is operated by the Spirit Lake Tribe (also known as the Devil's Lake Sioux) on the Spirit Lake Nation reservation near Fort Totten, North Dakota. The Spirit Lake Nation occupies territory adjacent to Devils Lake — the largest natural lake in North Dakota — and the casino resort benefits from its scenic lake region setting. The property is widely regarded as the finest casino resort in North Dakota, offering hotel accommodations and a gaming floor that exceed what is typically found in the state's other tribal gaming facilities.

The Spirit Lake Tribe signed one of the first gaming compacts in North Dakota in 1992 and has operated gaming continuously since. Casino revenue has funded significant tribal investments in housing, healthcare, and education on the reservation. The "Spirit Lake" name was adopted in 2003 when the tribe officially changed its name from the Devils Lake Sioux to honor the original Lakota name of the lake.

Gaming & Hotel

900+ slot machines and 25+ live table games. A full-service hotel provides the finest casino accommodations in North Dakota's gaming landscape. Multiple dining outlets serve casino visitors.
