About Talking Stick Resort

Overview

Talking Stick Resort is the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community's flagship destination resort, positioned in the heart of the Scottsdale entertainment corridor at the intersection of the Loop 101 and Indian Bend Road. Named after the traditional Native American talking stick used in council to signal the speaker's right to be heard, the resort embodies the Community's cultural values alongside world-class hospitality. It is one of the few tribal casino resorts in Arizona to hold a AAA Four Diamond designation.

Gaming Floor

The casino floor spans more than 240,000 square feet and houses over 900 slot and video poker machines alongside 50+ live table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, and specialty poker variants. Talking Stick is particularly well-regarded for its poker operations — a 50-table World Poker Tour-affiliated poker room hosts regular tournaments and cash games that draw players from across the Southwest. A dedicated high-limit area serves premium players.

Hotel

The AAA Four Diamond tower offers 496 spacious guest rooms and suites with sweeping views of the McDowell Mountains, the Valley of the Sun, or the lush golf courses below. The property features a signature resort pool area, fitness center, and full spa services, all maintaining the elevated standards expected of a Four Diamond property.

Golf

The Talking Stick Golf Club features two 18-hole championship courses — the North Course and South Course — both designed by noted architect Bill Coore and managed to PGA Tour standards. The courses wind through the natural Sonoran Desert landscape with McDowell Mountain views providing a spectacular backdrop.

Dining & Entertainment

The resort's dining portfolio includes upscale steakhouses, Asian fusion cuisine, casual poolside dining, a food court, and multiple bars and lounges. The entertainment pavilion hosts major national touring acts, sporting event viewing parties, and headline comedy performances throughout the year.
