Overview

The Mill Casino Hotel & RV Park is operated by the Coquille Indian Tribe on the shores of Coos Bay in North Bend — the largest natural bay between San Francisco and Puget Sound. The casino is built on the site of a former timber mill — hence the "Mill" name — reflecting the industrial history of the southern Oregon coast community that the casino enterprise has helped to economically diversify. The Coos Bay/North Bend area is Oregon's largest coastal city, providing a local market base that complements gaming tourism from inland areas.

The Coquille Indian Tribe was federally restored in 1989 after termination in 1954, and the Mill Casino (opened 1995) has been central to the tribe's economic and cultural recovery. The RV park provides an unusual camping amenity that attracts a different visitor demographic than typical casino hotel guests.
