Tropicana Atlantic City

Overview

Tropicana Atlantic City opened in 1981 as part of the early wave of New Jersey casino development and has grown to become one of the largest properties on the Boardwalk. Originally owned by Aztar Corporation, the resort passed through several ownership groups before being acquired by Bally's Corporation in 2021. Tropicana's defining feature is The Quarter — a 200,000-square-foot indoor entertainment complex inspired by Old Havana, Cuba — which remains one of Atlantic City's most unique attractions.

Gaming Floor

The casino floor spans approximately 165,000 square feet, making it one of the largest gaming areas in Atlantic City. Guests will find around 3,600 slot machines and video poker terminals alongside 180 live table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, pai gow, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, and specialty games. A dedicated poker room offers cash games and regular tournament series.

Sportsbook

The sportsbook at Tropicana provides a dedicated wagering space with multiple screens, comfortable seating, and competitive odds on all major sports including NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football, boxing, and international soccer leagues.

Hotel

With 2,379 guest rooms spread across several towers including the South Tower, Brighton Tower, and The Quarter's own hotel component, Tropicana is Atlantic City's largest hotel by room count. Room options range from comfortable standard rooms to the signature Penthouse Suites with panoramic ocean views.

The Quarter & Entertainment

The Quarter is Tropicana's crown jewel — a 200,000-square-foot, climate-controlled indoor entertainment complex designed to replicate the streets of Old Havana. Inside you'll find over two dozen restaurants, shops, a cinema, and nightlife venues all under a sky-painted ceiling. The IMAX Theatre, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, and Boogie Nights retro nightclub are standout tenants. The Tropicana Showroom hosts regular concerts, comedy performances, and special events.

Located at 2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ 08401 at the south end of the Boardwalk near the Atlantic City Convention Center. Accessible via the Atlantic City Expressway. Multiple parking garages and valet available.
