Overview
Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino occupies one of the most historically significant hotel addresses in Nevada — the original International Hotel, which opened in July 1969 as the largest hotel in the world at the time. Elvis Presley opened the showroom in August 1969 and went on to perform 636 consecutive sold-out shows from 1969 to 1976, creating the template for the Las Vegas entertainment residency format that every major performer since has followed. The property was subsequently known as the Las Vegas Hilton for decades before David Siegel's Westgate Resorts acquired and rebranded it in 2014.
The property sits adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center and hosts one of the largest convention-oriented hotel operations in the city. The International Theater — where Elvis performed — continues as a premier entertainment venue.
