Overview

Wind Creek Bethlehem is operated by Wind Creek Hospitality (the gaming enterprise of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians) and occupies the historic Bethlehem Steel plant site — one of the most significant adaptive reuse projects in American industrial history. The casino and hotel complex preserves and integrates the massive steel plant's blast furnaces and industrial structures as architectural landmarks, creating one of the most distinctive casino settings in the United States. The blast furnaces, illuminated dramatically at night, are visible for miles and have become an iconic image of Bethlehem's industrial heritage revival.

Previously known as Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem (opened 2009), the property was acquired by Wind Creek Hospitality in 2019. Wind Creek is the gaming brand of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians — a federally recognized Alabama tribe that had no presence in Pennsylvania until this acquisition, making it one of the most notable examples of tribal gaming expansion beyond a tribe's traditional territory.
