Casino de Montréal occupies one of the most distinctive buildings in North America — the former French Pavilion constructed for Expo 67, a striking structure on Île Notre-Dame in the St. Lawrence River connected to the city by the Pont de la Concorde. Operated by Loto-Québec since its 1993 opening, it has grown into the largest casino in Canada and one of the top-five largest in North America.
The casino floor spans five interconnected levels of the original pavilion and an expanded modern annex, offering approximately 3,200 gaming machines and 115 table games including baccarat, blackjack, roulette, craps, and poker. A dedicated poker room hosts regular tournaments that attract players from across Quebec and Ontario.
Beyond gaming, the complex includes the renowned Nuances restaurant (repeatedly ranked among Canada's finest), two cabaret-theatres hosting international shows and comedy acts, several bars, and an outdoor terrace with views of the St. Lawrence. The Loto-Québec property attracts over 6 million visitors annually, making it one of Montreal's top tourist destinations.
