Marina Bay Sands

Overview

Marina Bay Sands opened in April 2010 and immediately became one of the most recognised buildings on earth. The three 55-storey hotel towers — designed by Moshe Safdie — are topped by the 340-metre-long SkyPark, a cantilevered observation deck and infinity pool that extends 67 metres beyond the northernmost tower. The resort cost USD 8 billion to build and transformed Singapore's Marina Bay waterfront from underdeveloped reclaimed land into the country's most visited destination.

The casino is one of only two licensed in Singapore (the other being Resorts World Sentosa) and operates under strict regulatory oversight by the Casino Regulatory Authority. Singapore citizens and permanent residents must pay an entry levy to gamble. The gaming floor is one of the largest in Asia outside Macau, with 500+ tables and 2,300+ slot machines.
