About Resorts World Sentosa
Overview
Resorts World Sentosa opened in February 2010 — two months before Marina Bay Sands — as Genting Singapore's entry into the Singapore Integrated Resort duopoly. Located on Sentosa Island, the resort is built around a family entertainment philosophy that contrasts with Marina Bay Sands' luxury/convention focus. Universal Studios Singapore — the first in Southeast Asia — is the resort's headline attraction, joined by S.E.A. Aquarium (one of the world's largest), Adventure Cove Waterpark, and Trick Eye Museum.
The casino is Singapore's second licensed gaming venue and operates under the same Casino Regulatory Authority oversight as Marina Bay Sands, including the entry levy for Singapore citizens and permanent residents. Genting's loyalty programme (Genting Rewards) drives significant repeat visitation from regional and international markets.
