About Treasury Brisbane
Treasury Brisbane occupies one of the city's most architecturally distinguished landmarks — the former Queensland Government Treasury building and its accompanying Land Administration Building, both listed on the Queensland Heritage Register. The beautifully restored Italian Renaissance Revival structures, dating from 1889, house a casino floor, a boutique hotel (Treasury Hotel Brisbane), and a selection of dining and bar venues.
The casino offers a relatively intimate gaming experience compared with Crown Melbourne or The Star, with approximately 80 gaming tables and 1,200 gaming machines across a floor that retains much of the building's original grandeur. Games include baccarat, blackjack, roulette, craps, and poker.
Star Entertainment Group holds the Queensland licence and also operates The Star Gold Coast. The Treasury licence is subject to ongoing review following the 2022 inquiry into Star Entertainment's suitability. The property remains open and continues to attract Brisbane CBD visitors seeking a heritage gaming experience.
